It's mostly squirrels that ravage the garden . . .

. . . but there are other nuisances too.

Thankfully, every now and then, you'll find wildlife that redeems your faith in nature:

This baby blue jay spent several days learning to fly in our back yard. It was pretty cute, b/c you'd look out the back window and see this little blue bird floating through the air, at about eye level, as though he was flying in slow motion, albeit with disproportionately vigorous effort from his wings . . .
