June 2008: At-a-glimpse

After planting things in April, I was pretty hands off in May and June. The plants had been growing nicely, and I didn't do much other than water and build some supports (e.g. trellises, tomato cages). I just waited for them to start producing, so while we waited, we decided to get a little more creative with the layout. This is the chaos that we initiated that month . . .

Those are trash bags full of pebbles that Jenny found for free on Craigslist, so we used the bags to mark out our plans for a pebble path.
