Call it what you like: urban homesteading, backyard agriculture, radical suburban husbandry (two of these terms I just made up -- impressed?) . . . Somebody has to do the yeoman's work of preparing for the next Great Depression.

February 2009: Some ugly cauliflower.
Not much happening in February, but I did wait a little too long to harvest the cauliflower. Here was the result:
It was still edible, though, and not nearly as bad as these pictures would lead you to believe.
