November 2008: Full fall.

The leaves started changing and the garden loved the weather, but in all honesty, this snapshot makes autumnal Austin look much prettier than it is in reality. I think we got lucky with the lighting in this picture -- it made pale, frail yellow look golden.

Every now and then we see this woodpecker with the red head.

Just a couple more critters before we get into the edible:

Finally, we got a good spread of produce out of the garden (counter-clockwise from top: lettuce, kale, turnips, radishes, watermelon, peas, jalapenos, tomatilloes, tomatoes) . . .
I was so happy about it I thought it was worth two pictures:
I added this blurry picture because you can see the peas a little better.
