Call it what you like: urban homesteading, backyard agriculture, radical suburban husbandry (two of these terms I just made up -- impressed?) . . . Somebody has to do the yeoman's work of preparing for the next Great Depression.

April 2008: Second, get well.
Eventually, the illness passed and I was back on my feet. I think this picture was from right about the time when I started feeling better, though you can't quite tell it from outward appearances . . .
